I have been to Nagoya 7 times in all different seasons. Each season is wonderful in it's own right. I would defiantly recommend going in the spring season (March-April) when the Sakura (Cherry Blossoms) bloom and fall. At times it appears as if it is snowing driving on streets with the blossoms falling on either side and over-head. Nagoya castle is very cool and I really like the Higashiyama Zoo. Make sure to check out some local Udon Noodle shops they are famous for their Udon and their Unagi-Don (BBQ Eel over rice) in Nagoya. It is Delicious! From Nagoya you can take a short trip to just about anywhere in Honshu the Main Island of Japan. Remember Nagoya is in the center of Japan hints the name of their new airport CENTRAIR. CENTRAIR is the most impressive airport I've ever seen. It is rated as the 3rd best airport in the world and it in itself has so many things to do and see. It has a beautiful observation deck. A hot spring bath center from which you can watch planes coming and going. Some of the most wonderful restaurants you will find in Nagoya and shopping of all sorts traditional and modern. You could spend a few days there and probably still not see all of what this airport has to offer. Book your trip and get ready Nagoya is worth the ride!
