Having learned to drive in Manhattan, I'm pretty confident on any road. But driving in Naples brought "behind the wheel tension" to another level. It is the most crowded, uncontrolled automotive free for all that I've ever experienced. Poor signage, combined with street construction, a garbage problem, too much traffic and a constant swarm of motor bikes makes one think that they're a contestant in a road rage video game. The banged up condition of virtually every car on the road is the clue that this is real. Avoid it if you can.
