Great fun! Those are the two words I'd describe the Bahamas. I visited the Pirates of Nassau Museum an interactive museum with lots of interesting stories about the pirates that visited the port. Also I found a great free attraction - The Versailles Gardens with large bronze and marble sculptures and wonderful fauna. The beaches were wonderful and also clean unlike some other places I've visited. I guess the only downside to this trip was it's over.... More

I visited Nassau 2 times. The first time there were stray dogs all over...and they all looked the same. The second time I was leaving the Senior Frog and and a guy was shot in the street. That wasn't too pleasant to look at. The streets are dirty and they follow you to TRY to trick you out of money. My kids went on a boat ride for $10 each. They wouldn't bring them back without another $20 for each kid! email me if you had the same experience at Mawarren06@aol.com.... More

now i have been to the Bahamas befor but it was a different place. however when i went to Atlantis for spring break it was amazing. it was like a nicer and calmer version of New York. I loved it the people were nice and so were the attractions. they kept the pools clean and made everything look amazing. i have been to some bad hotels before and man was i glad when i got here. the only real problem is once you get there you have to wait an hour or two in line at the airport and then if you go to ... But since this is listed under the US destinations does that mean that you don't need a passport to take a cruise to Nassau? I would love to surprise my husband for our 22nd anniversary but neither of us have a passport and that would certainly be an expense that I don't need. I had the pleasure of taking a cruise there last year with my parents and siblings for my Dad's 70th birthday but hubby wasn't able to go because someone had to stay home with the kids. I LOVED IT!! I got to go check out the "oceanarium" at Atlantis which to me was an experience of a lifetime. Thanks!
