never had any trouble in jamaica me and my family go several times a year go into the towns and meet the people there super friendly if its your first time there they no it just like a horse knows if you have ever rode before dont be intimadated if they try to sell you something you dont want just tell them a couple of cool places to see richmond hill overlooks all of montego bay and is beautiful ive been all over the island and never had a problem have fun ... Just back from Beaches Negril Nice family resort. Rooms are very small. Food was just OK. Biggest problem was the bugs. Many mosquitoes. People looked like they had the chicken pox they had so many bites... More

Me and my boyfriend went to Hedo II we had a great time there as a couple Everyone we met was so nice the atmosphere was great. Be adventurous and visit the nude side you won't regret it. The nude pool after dark around midnight is the place to be just be safe and street smart. The food however was horrible I actually lost wieght on vacation and Jamaica itself is a ltille scary I would not recomend going in to town alone.... More

Been to Negril twice in past 5 years. Beaches are Amazing! Water is calm and pretty. NOT all hotels are for nudes and full of sex. Stayed once at RIU property and it is totally child friendly no one offered drugs to my party and no one was robbed. Recently stayed at Point Village and had same good experience. RIU is all inclusive and the food was good also had fun shows at night. Be cautious when off-property but the tourist areas will be fine especially in the daytime. The people selling s... More

The people selling souvenirs do take no for an answer if you do it respectfully but yes they can be persistent. Jamaican people as a whole are pretty friendly and happy to see tourists cause so many of them make a living off tourism. Rick's Cafe is also fun but food a bit overpriced; go there at sunset!
