The Oak Hammock Marsh Interpretive Centre originated in the 1970s as a joint initiative of Ducks Unlimited Canada and the Manitoba Government. It has been successful enough to reclaim 36 square kilometers of the once 450 square kilometer St. Andrews Bog. The marsh is home to 280 species of birds and hundreds of species other animals and plants. There are plenty of planned activities for kids' amusement, like shorebird carving and nature photography. There is a 120-seat theatre to accommodate groups and parties. The Marsh also sports a cafeteria and gift shop. Visit website for more details.
