Ocean City Maryland is the BEST !

My first week in Ocean City, MD came during the Fireman's Convention almost 40 years ago. My children were still babies then, but we had a ball. In the four decades since then, one of my sisters has become a permanent resident (just over the line in Fenwick Island), and my children now take their children for a summer outing every Fourth Of July week, usually staying at my sister's rental property so they'll have more money to spend on miniature golf, funnel cakes, Fisher Caramel Corn, Thrasher ... Being a time share owner but have already used up our "points" for the year on a trip to Hawaii we wanted to get away for another week since we both had one week vacation left. We haven't done a "local" vacation for over 10 years since our lids were young and thought it was time. We stated at a hot called Castle on the Sand. I have been going to OC for 25yrs. my first couple of seasons I lived and worked there, never did a 21yr old have so much fun. Since then I have taken vacations there, every season of the year it is great to visit. Instead of hotels, I found that renting a time share is the way to go. They rent Fri-Fri so you get a full weekend. All linens are provided, it is cleaned for you at the end of the week. They always mess up something. The last two years it has been my reservations. I have stayed here for the last 13-14 years and it has been something. I love Ocean City but...

I wish they had more places to dance to oldies and beach music. I belong to a dance club, we fast dance to this type of music but we are an older group and we cannot find a place to actually dance. I know there are a lot of places for night life but not for people our age. When you go to Myrtle Beach, there are so many places to go and dance. Our dance club holds a March dance event at the Clarion every year. But, other than that, we can never find a place to dance. ... Read Full Review | Report This
