Ogunquit is nice but go a little further north on the turnpike and find Old Orchard beach and Pine Point (7 miles of white sand). Crescent Beach Higgins Beach Two lights Kettle Cove Willard Beach are all nice without the tourist feel (except Old Orchard) and parking hassels.... More

MaineWe have been enjoying Ogunquit for over 20 yrs. The crowds are down after Labor Day especially during the week. Beautiful beach great food. Best place to stay hands down is Above Tide Inn right on the tidal basin on the way to the beach. Even though we moved to Texas from Vt. 2 yrs. ago we still make the trip back - it is worth it!!... More
