Another church housed in the Örgryte Gamla Kyrka complex is the Oscar Fredriks Kyrka, which looms atop a cliff at the foot of Masthuggetsberget hill. Built in true Gothic style, it was the brainchild of architect Helgo Zetterwall, The church was completed in 1893 and named after King Oscar II, and its splendid, light green interiors take you back to the medieval ages and transport you to a whole new realm.
