Abaco Island

As far as beaches go you will not find a better one than in Abaco. This is a place where you do nothing. We were there a week and did nothing but read and ride a bike around the Island. I would recomend this to anybody who wants to go somewhere to just lay back and do nothing but enjoy the beauty of the beach the water and the island and the people. I can't wait to go back. Treasure Cay, Abaco, Bahamas

It's hard to beat the beauty of Treasure Cay Beach and the clarity of the water in the Abacos. Treasure Cay is easy to get to from Ft Lauderdale, Miami, and West Palm Beach ,FL. It's not the cheapest place to go, but you can find reasonable enough rentals, and there's a pretty decent amount from which to choose. San Salvadore is wonderful

My wife and I stayed at the Club Med Columbus Isle in Jan. 2006 and had a great time. The island is very small and isolated and Club Med is really the only resort outside of a few small hotels. In contrast there are many beautiful beaches, most of them deserted. There is a small town but you don't go there for the nightlife.
