Treasure Cay, Abaco, Bahamas 
It's hard to beat the beauty of Treasure Cay Beach and the clarity of the water in the Abacos. Treasure Cay is easy to get to from Ft Lauderdale, Miami, and West Palm Beach ,FL.  It's not the cheapest place to go, but you can find reasonable enough rentals, and there's a pretty decent amount from which to choose.  To make the most of the area, you should rent a boat, ot take one of the local ferryboats to explore the other nearby islands.  It's a safe, and  wonderful place for families and singles.
