The Old Parsonage Hotel offers the ultimate Oxford experience. It's in the very center of Oxford in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by University buildings. The sixteenth-century former parsonage, one of Oxford's most historic buildings, looks like one of the ancient colleges.
Other popular Oxford hotels include the MacDonald Randolph and The Old Bank Hotel. The Randolph, with its huge lounge and traditional furnishings, has been in operation since 1864. The Old Bank, one of the few Oxford hotels with parking, opened in 1999 in the center of Oxford. The building was indeed once a bank and dates back to the 18th century. Have lunch at the cafe in the library across the street and you'll likely be joined by Oxford professors.

The building was formerly a prison and still retains some of its original features, including windows with bars. These are all close to the must-see places in Oxford. The University of Oxford is the oldest English-speaking University in the world. The Christ Church College's cathedral is stunningly beautiful and Harry Potter fans will recognize its stately dining hall.
