I went there mainly to enjoy the beautiful beaches and was not disappointed at all. There was shops down in the more comercialized areas, but, pack up your umbrella, sunscreen, cooler, and blankets, and enjoy a wonderful time. I was there the first of July, which I am sure is considered as "off season", but everything was quite affordable, and enjoyable. Many good restaurants, and more in neighboring towns as well.... More

being a native of pensacola all i can say is if you don't like it then don't come backit's people like you that give this town a bad name.and as of jan of 2008 the was no hurricane ivan debri on the roads you must have watched some hurricane re-runs on the weather channel.every town has it's faultsi guess your from a fault free townbut i do hate that you had a bad experience here in the oldest town in the u.s. don't believe it read your history!!!... More

If you have never been to Pensacola Beach then you haven't been to the best beach. I have been all over the world and P'cola beach is still my favorite. You feel such peace there. There is something to be said for the small community that is recovering from the hurricanes that hit there. They are doing it all themselves not whining like New Orleans for someone else to come in and \fix\ them. So if you want to feel a part of it all come to Pensacola if not well you are the one missing out...... More
