Petra private tour guide experience

I've just came back home after 3 months experience and education in Jordan!

PETRA was totally amazing site for me and I really enjoyed it very much!

Friendly locals are great host thus don’t be surprised if doesn't cost you any thing to be invited every 2 hours for drinks or food : )

I have been to Petra twice; 25 years and 10 years ago. Awesome in the literal sense. The first time there were still many people living in the caves (natural and carved). Few tourists. 10 years ago the local people were being re-settled in a nearby government village. They had lived there for unknown generations. More tourists but still not overrun. It is truly one of the Wonders of the World. A must-see. Nearby Wadi Rum (a headquarters for Lawrence of Arabia) and the beautiful waters of Aqaba ... More

Amazing and I was awestruck. This is a must see. I was in Israel first which was magnificant and then took a Jordanian shuttle from the border of eilat. The ride there is two hours and very bumpy. Take a good pair of walking shoes because it is a five mile walkdown and back in petra though you can pay for a camel or a horse ride. The engraved palaces and others in these mountains which was formerly a nabatean city was phenomenol and something I will remember all my life. You should be in fairly good physical shape because this excursion exhausts. I found the Jordanians to be very hospitable and very friendly. Their were Jordanian school kids on a tour of petra and they were very nice to us even one taking a picture with there camera of them with my mother but they made her cover her hair. More amazing because we are jewish but were treated wonderfully. This site is considered one of the wonders of the world. It recently won the UNvote for this. A rustic adventure that you will be very glad you visited
