One of my friends was there during the tsunami, he was lucky to escape, and he has given me a vivid idea of what the tsunami was. The best of the elephant trekking operations available in puket that we found is called "Kok Chang Safari".
We enjoyed interacting with the "White Palmed Gibbons" that freely roam the nearby jungle and come out to visit people when they are in a playful mood. Everyone's favorite is "Charley" a seven year old, black male that loves personal grooming and searching unwary visitor's bags for new toys. "LumYai" is an eight year old tan colored female who loves mangos, personal grooming and swiping
