Many Prague hotels and pensions, guesthouses with minimal services are housed in old properties that have been reconstructed to modern standards. Most of the newer full-service hotels are farther out, there's little room left to build in the historic district. One of the few luxury Prague hotels is the Four Seasons . Elegant and all that you'd expect from Four Seasons, it sits right next to the historic Charles Bridge in Old Town and provides a breathtaking view of Prague Castle across the river.

Family friendly Prague hotels include the Flathotel Orion , Corinthia Towers is only two stops from Central Prague and is located adjacent to the Vysehrad Castle. The Hotel Ungelt Ungelt a.k.a. Tyn means a market place surrounded by a wooden fence. You'll find many of the buildings around the Hotel Ungelt to be used to accommodate tourists for shopping and restaurants. The reasonably priced Flathotel Orion is a bit off the beaten path in Vinohrady but offers easy metro access to the older quarters and is only a 10 minute walk to Wenceslas Square. The Corinthia Towers has its own bowling alley in the basement, and the Hotel Ungelt's large apartment suites are perfect for extended stays.

Will you be in Prague on business? The Prague Marriott Hotel is near the Czech National Bank and has everything you need for business travel phones, faxes, laptop connection. If you prefer one of the chain hotels near the airport, the Holiday Inn is .19 miles from the Prague International Airport.
