Rangiroa is the second largest atoll in the world, I think, and is a huge ring of land in the ocean. The ring is land is narrow and flat, but encompasses a very large body of ocean within it. There is amazing scuba and snorkeling here, but not much else besides beaches and fishing. We were here for five days, and Bora Bora for five days and Rangiroa is far superior, especially for the money.
