1.visit to South Lake tahoe

I enjoyed stay at harra'h's at South lake Tahoe and taraveled form New York to Reno Airport.South Lake Tahoe has many sight seeing locations and local tour companies offer packages to visit them. I enjoyed my one day trip to wineries and beer factoy in the El Dorado Count of California.They offer every day trip to different locations.

Good trip. American Airlines on time both ways with quick transfers at Dallas. Downtown Reno looks like a ghost town with many businesses closed. Sad.

i come to reno every couple of yrs to visit family and play golf. i always enjoy escaping the summer humidity of indiana. some great golf courses in area are wolf run, arrow creek and d'andrea. all 3 are desert type and very hilly. if you want to take a break and
play something flatter, i like the empire ranch on the north side of carson city. they have
3 nines and you can play all for $50 with cart. the golf is cheaper in the afternoon by close to 1/2 price in many instances. i kept my green fees between $45-55. i used thegolfcourses.net website for reviewing and tee times.
lake tahoe is only about 45 minutes away and is a good place to cool off is reno is hot.
if you want to drive 120 miles or so, you can go to mount lassen, which is to the northwest
in california. it is a national park and also a volcano! it is on the same chain as mt st helens
and blew up about 100 yrs ago. dormant now, but does have some steamy areas. you can hike up the trail 3,000 ft to the peak if you like. no special equipement needed, just good shoes and food & water. takes about 3 hrs round trip. very scenic and nice and cool at the top.
the airport is easier than a lot. rental desks are right by the luggage pickup area and the
cars are a mere walk across the street.

yOU USED TO BE ABLE GO INTOALMOST ANY CASINO IN RENO AND SEE SOME GOOD INTERTAINMENT ! NOW UNFFORTUNITLY THEY ARE ALMOST ALL GONE . THE BIGGEST LITTLE CITY IN THE WORLD IS IN DIRE SHAPE . FITZGERALDS JUST RECENTLYCLOSED THERE DOORS HARRAHS HASBEEN IN BAD SHAPE FOR YEARS .OTHER THAN THE BIG FOUR IN TOWN THERE IS NOT MUCH COMPITITION AND HARDLY ANY GOOD NIGHTLIFE. THE OTHER CASINOS JUST ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF TOWN ARE HAVING HARD TIMES FELLING THERE ROOMS ALSO. THE CASINOS BUILT THIS TOWN AND NOW GOVERMNENT AND CITY GREED ARE TEARING IT DOWN. tHIS IS STARTING TO LOOK LIKE THE BIGGEST LITTLE DUMP INTHE WORLD WRATHER THAN THE BIGGEST LITTLE CITY IN THE WORLD . MOST OF THE SMALLER HOTELS IN AND AROUND TOWN NOW RENT MONTHLY JUST TO KEEP SOME OF THERE ROOMS FELLED AND THEY ARE NOT KEPT IN VERY GOOD SHAPE . iIPERSONALLY HAVE NO DESIRE TO VISIT THERE AGAIN. ALL THE HYPE IS JUST NOT THERE !!

OMFG! I AM IN RENO RIGHT NOW THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I LEAVE CALIFORNIA AND ITS BEEN A GREAT EXP. I LOVE THE DUCKS THE PARKS. THE BRIDGE THE RIVER! I DIDNT REALLY COME HERE FOR THE CASINOS BUT BCUZ WERE MOVING HERE. SO YEAH!! :D I RECOMMENDED!!
