Everything within reach. 
This is a great location for people who want to be close to a lot of things.  Lake Tahoe and the ski areas close by, Carson City a short drive away ... and plenty to do right in Reno.  Not as big and exciting as LV, but a nice place to spend a weekend without spending a fortune.  

In nearby Incline Village lies the site where the television series Bonanza was filmed.  Used to be open for tours, now closed I believe ... but Tahoe in itself is worth the short detour if you're already in Reno.  It's a beautiful area.
