Blue Lagoon was wonderful. The rest ... 
was ok.  An experience not to be missed, but unless you are a hiker, once is probably enough.  We arrived in early August 2007 on a Sunday, and left Tuesday afternoon.  Monday was a bank holiday, so almost everything was closed.  We took a very nice tour, but we were shoulder-to-shoulder in the bus.  The tour stopped at several tourist-trap shops.  The scenery was spectacular in its ruggedness.  The prices were outrageously high.  The Blue Lagoon was worth the whole trip.  A place not to miss, and don't scrimp on this part.
