Rimini and the Adriatic Sea

Rimini is close to the other beach town of Pesaro. It has a town square and nice shops. From Pesaro you can take a short bus ride to the medieval town and castle of Urbino. Gorgeous! From Pesaro you can also catch trains to other destinations, such as Genga which in is the middle of nowhere. In Genga you can tour the caverns and grottos there, which is beautiful. ... A gem on the Adriatic.

I've been to Rimini twice and have grown to love this city on the eastern coast of Italy. It's a fairly small, unpretentious beach town with very friendly people and great food. The easiest way to get to Rimini is on a train from Bologna. Besides the beach and pubs there's not a whole lot going on, which is exactly the way everyone likes it.
