This is a place you NEED to visit once in your life.My wife thinks the beaches are full of beauties with thongs but it is not all that.The 2 main beaches are different ( Classwise ) but never the less worth the trip ---------------Just do it !! Once ... More

Been to New Orleans? Same feel and smell during Carnaval......add a 8 hour flight from Miami. Rio is not safe and you have to be very careful. No jewelry or you'll get mugged by a 12 year old. If you want to feel like you're in a rap video than you may like it. During Carnaval transgender or something like that wonder the streets in Copacabana. Hotels are very expensive for so called five stars. Only the Marriott and Copacabana Palace seem worth staying. Not a place to come with your family. ... More

5.An Amazing City

I absolutely love Rio de Janeiro. I stayed in the hotel royalty barra which was right on the beach. We had the most amazing view from our room it was incredible. Also sugar loaf mountain and christ the redemer both offer wonderful views and great photo opportunities. The food in rio and in practically all parts of brazil is some of the best in the world. Practically every hotel has great buffets. Shopping is good there kind of expensive though. But this is definitely somewhere to visit I'... More
