beautiful peopleI was born in Roanoke and lived there until I was 8. I have visited many times since and I have always found the people the kindest and most generous of any place I have ever lived. I guess you reap what you sow. If you act like you are better than other people or just have a stuck up attitude in general people don't want to be around you. No it is not like New York. VAI was born and raised here.There is a reason I left.It is too narrow mindedtoo conservative and unaccepting of outsiders.There may be some increased cultural venues butthe vast majority of locals are 1000 light years in culture and openess to belief systems than most New Yorkers.
