how to see rome in a few days 
do the vatican extremely early in the morning to avoid disastrously long lines and tour sites in the evening with a private taxi--u will save urself a headache from romes increasing traffic and its cheaper than any tour,and you can spend as much time as you want around a particular area without people itching to leave.live the italian life while ur there .you'll never be able to do that being preoccupied with being a tourist.talk to people bargain in the markets really throw yourself in,and dont forget to throw in a coin in the trevi fountain for some goodluck!!!
