We had a blast in Manuel Antonio. Although it's touristy, there are so many activities to choose from that you'll definitely want to make sure you have the right guidebook. We used RUM & REGGAE'S COST RICA. It covered everything we needed, including Manuel Antonio's barely existent nightlife. Anyway, the beaches here are beautiful, untamed, and have incredibly warm water. The bottom line: Manuel Antonio State Park is a must see. The hotels in this area are great and do not intefere with the environment in the least. The restaurants are simple, but serve perfect native seafood in casual surroundings. They are the perfect complement after a day of ziplining, whitewater rafting, hiking, or just hanging out on the beach.
