One of my favorite places on Earth!!!!!!!!!!!!! The weather is perfect year round. Sambo's on the waterfront has fantastic breakfasts at a very affordable price. Hiking and biking in the mountains shopping downtown Santa Barbara or frequenting the shops and resteraunts in Montecito where Jerry Seinfeld Oprah Winfrey and the Douglas family have been spotted are just a few fun things to do. Take a drive up through the mountains to Solvang for a throw back to earlier times. But go early the town shuts down before 9 pm. Visit the wineries. Take along a picnic lunch and dine on the grounds of the Fess Parker winery. Most also offer tours.

Santa Barbara has a very mellow laid back atmosphere. You can enjoy a day at the beach. Plenty of shopping & small pubs along State street. For small kids there's the local Zoo. The Santa Ynez mountains are nearby if you'd like to go hiking. The Santa Barbara Mission is close by for any history buffs. There's also seasonal whale watching kayaking horse back riding and plenty of restaurants to end the day with a great dinner. We are a family of four with 2 small children (ages 3 & 6). This has b... This has been our family tradition to go to Santa Barbara every year for the last 8 years. It's great place to come have fun relax (lots of spas) & to spend quality time with your family!!!!!!
