Amazing place with as much traffic or more than NYC. Nonetheless it has everything if you can find it. Especially sky risers that are mostly apartment buildings. It is very easy to make friends and travel the city. Especially if you speak Portuguese. Poverty is there which provides for the cheap cost of the service industry and inexpensive domestic workers but be careful this luxury could lead to a gun in your face. Poverty is there which provides for the cheap cost of the service industry and inexpensive domestic workers but be careful this luxury could lead to a gun in your face. However I have been to Sao Paulo over 12 times and have never seen it despite the well collaborated stories. So really my perception is Sao Paulo is a safe and friendly town with happy people despite the poverty surrounding the rich.

Sao Paulo has as many shopping opportunities as NYC. It is also very diverse in itsculture. Any type of restaurant can be found easily except maybe Mexican. Museumsand Art is everywhere even in the parks. Love this city. Poverty however is also at your doorstep where ever you go. Be sure you have very good security at all times.... More

The list of places to visit is really deceptive. Given their names in Portuguese is a bit deceptive. I've been to all of them. They are the places school children visit. The only interest the have is their part in Brazilian history--which was rather minor. The picture of rain forest is also deceptive. There is forest there and in some of it there is a lot of rain but the only rain forest that matters is in the Amazon which is 1500 milles or so from there.... More
