I was in Sarajevo and Mostar before moving on to Montenegro in the Spring of 2007. Sarajevo is a beautiful city marked by sad reminders of the conflict in the 1990s. The people there are wonderful, well-educated, cultured, resilient and most of all, extremely welcoming. I had the best food I've ever eaten anywhere--the blend of Austrio-Hungarian, Slavic and Turkish cultures infuses the cuisine as well as the architecture of this country.

If you are in BiH, you should definitely head south and take in Mostar as well. A gorgeous little town spanning a crystaline river and one of the most beautiful bridges in the world.

To start off Sarajevo is the most beautiful city in the world. I went there last summer and I had the time of my life. To start off Sarajevo is the most beautiful city in the world. I went there last summer and I had the time of my life. The taste of \1001 nights\ in a European town which is so strange and charming and all the horrible things that happened in such a wonderful place in the 90's are a mixture that goes right to your heart. The old town is simply magic with its little streets full of craftsmen markets and wonderful cafes with great food right next to each other. This is probably the only place in the world beside jerusalem that you will find a mosque cathedral orthodox church and synagogue footsteps apart. The buildings have fantastic architecture from the Turkish and Austrian cultures. There is nature everywhere in the city and around it on the mountains. In summer you can enjoy the beautiful nature forests and rivers etc. During the winter you can ski on the beautiful olympic mountains. Sarajevo with half of million of residents is still \a city made by the measure of men\. I loved everything. The Bosnian men are very good looking and the Bosnian women are beautiful and all dress like catwalk models! They are definitely the best looking and best dressed people in the entire Europe. It's a wonderful city with lots of spirit and with an unusually friendly atmosphere. The people are very kind and are the most hospitable. Theres an old legend that says Who drinks the water of Sarajevo they will stay there for ever. Next time I visit Sarajevo I will be make sure to drink more of the water. If you haven't visited Sarajevo I suggest you do because it's a wonderful city and you wouldn't regret it.
