Dating back to 1987,,,, I've traveled to Phoenix-Scottsdale every OTHER year in mid-Spring,,, usually for 3 nights/4 days. This last time, was there during Nascar weekend,, but am not a Nascar fan, so didnot attend the races. Did all the nature things (just the same). HIked up Papagoa peaks,,, South Mountain, Squaw Peak (etc) and went to Lake Saguaro, Canyon Lake and Tortilla Flats. Was warm in daytime (approx 85) but cool at night (about 65 degrees). HIked up Papagoa peaks,,, South Mountain, Squaw Peak (etc) and went to Lake Saguaro, Canyon Lake and Tortilla Flats. Was warm in daytime (approx 85) but cool at night (about 65 degrees). Lots of pro basketball fever and rabid fans there this last time, (for their Suns),, especially in light of their 1st Round playoff series (vs. the Lakers) taking place! :>)
