my favorite Spanish citySegovia was by far the best Spanish city I visited on my trip to Spain with my school last April. Though it was a little chilly in early spring the history and food was remarkable. We ate at Cafeteria Orly which is a little restuarant near the Aqueducts and it was old world and fantastic. All of the locals were there smoking cigars and chatting after Sunday mass. It made you feel like part of the city. The food was excellent and be sure to get the daily special. There is also a very old restaurant right next to the Aquaducts and we heard that it was excellent...after we already ate so it may be worth a trip there as well. Be sure to take a good bit of time perusing through the old winding streets up to the large common area with the cathedral of Segovia which was beautiful. Also be sure to tour the Alcazar which was beautiful and grand. If you get a chance walk down the path to the base of it below the cliff and look at it from that perspective though it is quite the hike back up. If you hit no other city in Spain make sure you go here. It has excellent food people and old world feel unlike the larger cities in Spain. This city has remained true to it's roots and very small and quiet. Segovia ia truely an excellent city.
