Shanghai China'a Star is a fantastic city and rising as the shining "Pearl of the Orient." It is a interesting mixture of old and new.
The curved alleyes here retain a historical feel while towering skyscrapers show off modern taste. Here you can ramble around old garden temple and bustle through crowd and tall buidings.
The bund one of the most recognizable architectural symbols of Shanghai has became the city's first foreign street.

Shanghai China'a Star is a fantastic city and rising as the shining "Pearl of the Orient." It is a interesting mixture of old and new.

Huangpu River a symbol of Shanghai. Taking a boat along the river gives tourists an opportunity to see many of Shanghai's famous sites.

April 6 2008..My husband and I went on a cruise and Shanghai was one of the ports. Shanghai is a beautiful city. We did a lot of sightseeing including the bund Yuyuan Garden People's Square. At the bund we visited Huangpu River Oriental Pearl TV Tower. The skyscrapers are amazing. Took a day tour to Suzhou beautiful bridges like Venice very interesting area . In the evening in Shanghai we stopped at a very nice pizza restaurant and to our surprise it was delicious then went off to Le Royal Mer... More

The new hotels will probably give any hotel in the USA a run for the money. Also the architects were certainly thinking out of the box to design all those different shape building and lighting adds to the skyline in the evening. Just a fantastic city to see in the night.... More
