Shreveport is not what we called it

We lived there for 3 and one half years; and I hated every minute of it. It is humid, hot,oppressive, backward, and acts like a much smaller city. The only wildlife we had were field rats and the cockroaches who partied in everything from the junk drawer in the kitchen to my ventahood. (One fell into my cooking pot.) They flew out of kleenex boxes, drawers, covered the cat's food dish at night in the kitchen. They are all over the place outside. We finally got rid of them when we treated our hou ... Why I like Shreveport?

Well I guess the main reason is opportunity if your are near the Marshall area. I certainly enjoyed my stay in the area. It did not have casinos then but it was a great place to learn. There were great party places,as well as a very high standard of early english teaching. The Lords of London were some of the first investors as British would flee there own country in search of ideas that did not include taxaztion. I was born and raised in Shreveport and I have to say that Shreveport is a great place to be from. When I was a kid and growing up, it was pretty nice, but now it's crime filled and stagnate. Like I said...It's a great place to be FROM! I got out 8 years ago! ... Read Full Review | Report This

I love Shreveport

If you hate Shreveport and think it's dirty, you should save your money and move to a better neighborhood or just move. I was born and raised there and I love it. And it's very clean where I lived and where my parents still live. There's something for all ages. But it isn't a huge city, if you want that big city life....MOVE, but don't bash Shreveport!
