MD - A Laid-Back Experience Aboard the Selina II"Cap'n Iris" Clarke sails the Selina II out of St. Michaels MD on wonderful tours that are guaranteed to fulfill your wildest dreams IF you're looking for: something laid-back; relaxing; with just the right touch of ambience; and historical tales about St. Michaels and surrounding areas along the Chesapeake Bay. Below is the note I sent to Cap'n Iris after my husband and I joined her her First Mate and two other couples out for a day in the sun. The trip is wonderful from the moment Cap'n Iris welcomes her guests onboard until unfortunately the experience ends way too soon back at the dock.
This trip left me wanting to know more about this beautiful vintage catboat the Selina II which seems to have a spirit all her own. Check out Cap'n Iris's website (http://www.sailselina.com/) for more info about this beautifully-restored vessel which was built in 1926 and has come down through Iris's family to her.
You can choose from a number of sailing options including the 2-hr. cruise a sunset champagne cruise wine tastings romantic or overnight sailing trips private charters even overnight excursions. Whatever you choose you can rest assured that Cap'n Iris and her First Mate will make it a memorable affair!

(10/12/08)! It was great hearing you describe your work on the Selina II (I
think you were very modest in describing what you've done -- the work on that
boat is impeccable) trips you've taken in the past your plans for the future
and the lore about St. Michael's. My husband Garcia and I will definitely be
coming back to join you again in the near future (maybe next season?) and
perhaps we can then hear the rest of the 30-minute tale about "The Town that
Fooled the British!" My 2-sentence abridged version just doesn't do it justice!

Cap't Iris sails the Selina II from the docks in St. Michael Md. taking folks on simply a great trip. She and her service are absolutely wonderful. Cap't Iris will take you on a multi-hour totally relaxing tour of the Chesapeake complete with history touring wine and good company. I highly recommend going out on the Selina II with Cap't Iris if you ever find yourself in the St. Michael's area. My wife and I have gone twice and have loved the trip the Selina II the captain and the crew.
