Spending a week at St. Thomas visiting St. John & BVI islands was a superior vacation. Asking one of the hotel employees why everyone was so nice to us. Her relpy: \WE on this island have tourists and visitors you mamn (to my wife) are a visitor. To the person who said the islanders were rude..look in a mirror man you were a tourist.... More

My wife and I went on a cruise for our honeymoon almost 3 years ago and one of our ports was St. Thomas. We loved it so much that when we booked our second cruise a year and a half later we made sure St. Thomas was once again one of our stops. The shopping is great the views are greater and the snorkeling is awesome as well. Love it can't wait to visit there again someday.... More

We first visited st Thomas on a cruise in 2001..as our ship left the port I looked at my husband and annouced that I didn't care about another cruise but would LOVE to return to St Thomas and spend a week there instead of hopping port to port! In 2006 we did return for our 25th wedding anniversary and had the most wonderful \second \ honeymoon at the Marriot's Frenchmens' Reef ..we are going again May 2008..we found St Thomas to be a most relaxing and freindly place ...the islanders are friendly... In 2006 we did return for our 25th wedding anniversary and had the most wonderful \second \ honeymoon at the Marriot's Frenchmens' Reef ..we are going again May 2008..we found St Thomas to be a most relaxing and freindly place ...the islanders are friendly but I did realize that tourists get a bad reputation ( especially Americans) as they are always wanting something for nothing..as in bargaining with merchants at the market..these poor vendors are trying to make a living and tourists do their very best to get the wares for nothing..if anyhting people please give a little extra..you CAN afford to or else you wouldn't be vacationing in St Thomas to begin with...so for anyone looking for a great place to visit..i'd rank St thomas at the top..just be sure to leave as favorable impression on St thomas as it will on you :)
