First of all....Seagrape Restaurant is not there anymore. I can't remember the new name. There are basically 3 places to eat at Sapphire. One up in Sapphire Village and 2 beach bars. So close to Red Hook with plenty of other places to eat. I like Sapphire Beach. It's absolutely gorgeous, but you really have to do your homework and rent directly from an owner. You can get a good deal that way. Go to vrbo.com to rent, not through Sapphire directly.

We had no idea we were going to be sleeping with Cockroaches. If you want to have a good & memorable time on your vacation, I HIGHLY recommend you stay away from the Sapphire Beach condos. They have a pest problem. The management say they have an exterminator come to do maintenance once a month, but obviously the problem still persist. We were here in June of 2007, and have found the beach to be great & beautiful, but the accomodations are a nightmare. We were not able to sleep the entire night. Our first night, we were sooooo tired from a long day of travel & we had to deal with this pest infestation. I know what you might be thinking, cockroach is expected in warm tropical weather. Yes, I can understand that, but to have them crawling out throughout the entire night, even with the lights on & the T.V. on to keep them away, the cockroaches still crawled out all over the sofa couch, the kitchen area, the bathroom, & the drawers near the bed. How crazy is it that we had to pull the bed away from the wall/drawer, zip up all of our luggages so the cockroaches don't crawl on our bed or into our luggage. If you want to have a relax, enjoyable & memorable vacation, stay away from Sapphire Beach Resort. We wouldn't want any one to go through or experience what we had to on our first night in STT, and that is why we are posting a warning.
