we honeymooned at caneel bay 8 years ago we opted to stay 10 days there is no tv and no phone and although very beautiful and extremly private and wonderful resteraunts and very expensive no night life at all we got bored and took alot of day trips. i dont recco 10 days mabey 5 & the town of st john is very small but one great resteraunt built into a tree great food and out of this world view -st thomas is a honky tonk town ans everyone pressures you to buy something overall B+ ... Ny wife and I stayed at Caneel Bay for a week 5 years ago. I can not recomend this place to anyone. Very over priced! Rooms were very small. No bath tub in bathrooms and they were the size of a closet. The only thing we found good was we were right on the beach. But to go any where you had to wait for the bus to take you to the main house and parking lot. Food was very over priced for what you received. The Four Season at Nevis is the place to go. I've been to many Caribbean resorts but Caneel is my all time favorite. I always describe it as "understated elegance", meaning that the staff has the utmost respect for your privacy. I think it is the most magical, romantic place to stay. All couples comtemplating divorce should be required to spend a week there together, maybe it will bring back the "spark"! ...
