Plane leaves October 27 2008So I am actually moving to Estonia from Cedar Rapids Iowa. Pretty much the story is a girl from Estonia came to america to be an AU PAIR (nanny) for one year and it ended up being in Iowa City Iowa.... I met this girl and it was amazing everytime I was with her and we fell in love. I met this girl and it was amazing everytime I was with her and we fell in love. Ive been researching the country and cultures and I think I could be in love with the location too... haha although it is a little more expensive there then it is here I'll be with her and honestly thats all that matters to me. I think she wants to move to the united states though so if we come back after a couple years... that would be cool too :) Anyway if anyone wants to help me out on hot spots or things you think I should see... my AOL is Armbark

Tartu and EstoniaI have gone to Estonia 20 times since 1991. My favorite city of the world. It has changed totally since 91 but gets better every year. I can not believe it the same city from the first timeThe Estonian women are some of the most beautiful in the world and any young man would be crazy not to visit if he had the chance. I can not believe it the same city from the first timeThe Estonian women are some of the most beautiful in the world and any young man would be crazy not to visit if he had the chance. I have gone by myself and taken groups and the groups are always amazed at the wonderful city of Tallinn. The first modern day President (Meri) did a masterful job of cleaning up after 50 years of Soviet rape. Now a modern Airport and modern Port.. new streets ..new skyscrapers... a renewed gorgeous \old town\ district.I don't care for the casinos which are bringing in undesirables but the good far outweighs the bad.Traffic is getting worse of course but the city transportation is adequate and getting in and out for day trips or longer to Helsinki via the Nordic Jet is really cool.I could go on for hours about Tallinn and Tartu is a wonderful University city and a joy to visit as well.

Wow...Estonia being called E-tonia a hot spot fine restaurants gorgeous sites. I need to go back! I was there in 1984 and it was the saddest place I had ever been to. I was crying at the border control when I left. It was so grey and barren...old women sweeping streets with corn brooms no flowers 1960 appliances in the barren government stores. The hotel was bare bones and the food awful as there were only a few gov't hotels you could stay in. I have to see its brilliant new smile soon...ev... More

EstoniaMy husband and I vistied Tallin Estonia as well asSt. Petersburg Russia on our 25th Wedding Anniversary on a Baltic Cruise.What a stark contrast to their interruptions of Free Enterprise.When visiting Tallin tourist were free to walk and explore this lovely town full of castles and fortresses and Free Enterprise was every where. The Estonians were friendly and welcoming. St. Petersburg was the polar opposite. I would return to Tallin in a heart beat.... More
