2007 and found it very inviting!!I spent several days in Tallinn last October. I toured most of the city walked the streets visited the shops ate in some fine resturants and met some fine people who live there. I will recommend it to anyone who enjoys historic cities and friendly people.... More

Tallinn is an interesting mix of medieval castles old Soviet faceless buildings and the new extremely rich Russians who come to spend money in the brand new high end hotels. The sad part of the town is that a lot of the old historic sites are covered in graffiti and are otherwise not kept in pristine condition. But a lot of what is going on there now is being driven toward turning Tallinn into a getaway for rich Russians. Unfortunately money does not buy breeding and you'll be shocked by the rud... More
Tallinn is an interesting mix of medieval castles old Soviet faceless buildings and the new extremely rich Russians who come to spend money in the brand new high end hotels. The sad part of the town is that a lot of the old historic sites are covered in graffiti and are otherwise not kept in pristine condition. But a lot of what is going on there now is being driven toward turning Tallinn into a getaway for rich Russians. Unfortunately money does not buy breeding and you'll be shocked by the rudeness of the visitors from that country. The Estonians who work and live there however are a very nice and friendly group so outside of the hotels you'll find an interesting place to visit for a weekend.
