Traverse is a great place to spend a week in the summer if you love the sun and some great shopping and restaurant and throw in a trip to the casino it is great fun.We've even enjoyed weekends there. It is not Florida but for Michigan it is really a great time. We love the sun and just hanging out there.... More

34.Heaven on earth describes Michigans West Coast

wow the secret is out Traveling all over the united states and canada I have never seen a more beautiful coastline than the trip we took to Michigan the traverse city area is lovely saugatuck and grand haven are beautiful the dunes the beaches are unbelievable little chilly but stunning scenery . The people were so nice and friendly The lodging was top rate. Being originally from California I never thought I would say the Michigan coast is much prettier than california's and even out east. The people were so nice and friendly The lodging was top rate. Being originally from California I never thought I would say the Michigan coast is much prettier than california's and even out east. After reading all the bad things about Michigan its time to salute the good things . Anyone that hasn't seen Michigans coast and all the villages and the abundance of activities for all ages should invest in a trip. Even though the gas prices are soaring the relaxation and warmth of this area is well worth the money!!
