If you go to this great place by cruise ship. Dont take the taxi at the gang plank. Walk thru thr terminal and flag down any taxi - much much cheaper and as good.

Trinidad is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I've never had the priveledge of seeing Tobago though. Let me just say if you want a vacation that entails friendly people, beautiful beaches, delicious food and all over exotic beauty, this is the place to go!

I was stationed in Trinidad for 2 years, 1958-59, and I loved the island! How much has the island changed in 50 years? I hope to go back in 2009 to see what the island is like now. Is the Navy base still on the island? I was one of the weather men sending up balloons every 6 hours.

PRIDE - The New Caribbean Nations

March, 2007 I was on a 2 week cruise and had the opportunity to spend a day in Tobago and Trinidad. I remember the Trinidad of old - the "spice island". Today both islands have transcended cultural differences and have formed a dual simplified economic plan that will benefit this area for the next century. Establishment still rules for schools but the economic free trade zones are great. These show to visitors from cruises that established small businesses can compete.
