The skyline of San Diego, CA
San Diego Miles of stunning beaches, picture perfect weather all year round and the kindest people on the planet. Of course they're the kindest people on the planet, who can be angry living in San Diego? This gem located in Southern California is one of the most gorgeous cities in the United States. It combines old-fashioned Mexican charm with the addition of a contemporary and modern edge. In a city where the sun is always on, it's the perfect place to get away for a bit of relaxation or stimulation.

While San Diego is a modern metropolis on the West Coast, it's incredibly laid back. It's almost like the entire city has taken on the surfer mentality. You can expect to hear "dude" quite a bit, and before you leave, it will make its way into your vernacular. There's so much to see and enjoy in San Diego, and since there's rarely a chance for rain, the best of it's outdoors.

I have been there twice in 2009 Highly recommend Hotel Del Coronado beautiful, and fantastic service. Last trip to SD was for New Years. Stayed @ the Holiday Inn Express in Chula Vista because it was close to even we attending I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! We left early even though the room was already paid for! Roaches in both rooms & very noisey! Moved to the Sheraton @ the Marina for $20.00 more per night. BEAUTIFUL ROOM & VIEW AND VERY VERY CLEAN!! Love San Diego!!!!... More

Is it better to book through airlines rather than through AOL

I booked my trip to San Diego for October in early August on Delta Airlines using AOL. I had my reservation and seat assignment on the plane. When I got to the airport (two hours early) and printed up my seat ******************* 'request seat'. I go to the boarding area and was told I didn't have a seat, period. The flight was overbooked and I would have to wait until other all the other passengers were seated to see if I had a seat. Needless to say I was furious as were several other pass... More

When I got to the airport (two hours early) and printed up my seat ******************* 'request seat'. I go to the boarding area and was told I didn't have a seat, period. The flight was overbooked and I would have to wait until other all the other passengers were seated to see if I had a seat. Needless to say I was furious as were several other passengers who had to wait. The ticket agent didn't have time to tell us why this happened. Those of us waiting deduced that we all had made our reservations online not directly with Delta. If this was the reason, it stinks. What is the point of asking you to pick a seat if you can't have it. I finally was able to board after several people gave up their seat. I will think twice before booking through onlilne travel sites in the future.
