I lived in Fort Collins Colorado for 30 years. Vail is a beautiful beautiful place to visit for the day or a week or longer. My husband and I use to camp there. All ski enhusiasts are attracted to Vail because of the hotels the Holiday Inn for one and other accomodations and the skiing.... More

Vail is a great place to visit...summer or winter. The variety of slopes for all levels can't be beat especially when you're traveling with a group wit a variety of skills. They even have a spectacular place for a wedding at the top of the Lions Head gondola. The town has a wonderful variety of restaurants and interesting shops.
