Vienna is unsurpassed in its culture, food and more importantly, its diversity. In the same block, travelers can enjoy traditional Austrian food, sushi and McDonalds. One can shop at Gucci, the Gap, or antique shops. Stay near Karntnerstrasse, so you can walk to everything. Don't miss the Bermuda Triangle for nightlife, but leave a trail of breadcrumbs. cold both inside and out

I have been several times to Vienna and I find it a cold city and not friendly. I stayed at top hotels and everyone was polite and politically correct. Its just not a fun city to stay in or tour. I go all over Europe and this has just never made me happy. I suggest Munich instead. I do like other places in Austria just not Vienna.

I have been to Vienna twice and would go back any time. We had a wonderful Schnitzel at Figlemueller's and great dessert at Cafe Demel. Love all the historival buildings and would love to spend a week there to really explore this wonderful city. The same goes for Salzburg
