I went on a trip to Vienna, Munich, Berlin, and Amsterdam while on break from school in France.  Austria is unbelievable.  The people are extremely friendly, even my cab driver.  If you have a chance, take the river boat to Bratislava.  It's only about 45 minutes from Vienna.  I saw a Mozart/Strauss concert and it was by far one of the coolest things I've seen.  It was heaven to my ears.  I was there in April and it was the best time to go.  Beautiful weather, flowers blooming, few tourists, better prices.  Walking is the way to go to see anything in Europe.  Vienna will forever be one of my favorite European cities.  I would reccomend it to anyone who is alive and breathing.
