I'm a born and raised Virginia Beach native and I can't say anything bad about it. I love the warm weather practically all year round, and it's cool to say I'm from one of the richest cities in America! If you're a fishing enthusiast or an outdoors type of person, Va Beach is really a good place for you. Tons of state parks with miles of hiking trails, beautiful beaches, thousands of charter fishing boats that leave out of the many beautiful inlets, plus the largest estuary in the world is in ... Despite what some say. Virginia Beach is very nice. They have made many improvments to the boardwalk and beach. You will enjoy free entertainment nightly. Plenty of bars and reastruants to chose from. There is our new downtown Virginia Beach area which has very nice shops and reatraunts. We have a water park minutes from the resort strip. I live in Va Bch & I can honestlly say it's a filthy beach.The changes they have made over the years have done zero good. They charge out the gazoo,but offer nothing more. The traffic is absurb,the weather stinks for the most part.The boardwalk picture lies,it looks NOTHING like that. We're extremely prone to tornados & storms.
