A nice place 
The most amazing thing was that the bus driver not only helped me find my hotel, he helped me with my suit case
lots to do.  museums are generally free in NZ and very interesting.
the botonic gardens was great
the only problem was the hills--bad for someone terrified of heights!
I'll go back anytime
