Since my son moved to Wellington about three years ago, we have visited NZ twice and are getting ready to visit again.  What everyone else has said is so true.  Beauty abounds everywhere you look.  But the greatest part of NZ is the people.  They are incredibly friendly, interesting and helpful.   They aren't in a big hurry and that's a very nice quality. It's a long trip to get there.  but it is so worth it if want to see what I think "heaven on earth" looks like:)
