Winchester is a charming little town that has a historic area right downtown where they have a walking mall (no cars) and quaint shops in restaurants. In the surrounding area there are historic civil war battlefields and farms and orchards that allow customers to pick apples by themselves. Also nearby are the Blue Ridge mountains and Shenandoah National Park that has a fantastic drive called Skyline drive that skirts the ridge of the mountains at between 2500 and 3500 feet with fantastic views...
