cafe culture a unique architecture and great people!This city has so much to offer and so few people seem to know about it. The city center was so much fun with a lot of really grand pink stone buildings with carved facades on streets lined with sidewalk cafes and restaurants. It's a place where nobody is in a rush places open late and you wonder what everyone is doing out during the workday.

It's a place where nobody is in a rush places open late and you wonder what everyone is doing out during the workday.

There are some real gems in the city you have to see as well. There is the Parajanov House Museum which is hard to describe. This Armenian artist could turn *anything* into art and he did! The house is full of room after room of art made from the craziest stuff and brought together with an imagination that would transform it into something completely different and cool. With one of the most highly developed medieval manuscript cultures the manuscript museum has a beautiful display of illuminated manuscripts. Then there are sites like Levon's potato basement an underground labyrinth of caverns and passages one guy dug after his wife asked him to dig a potato storage basement...
