Yosemite has always been a family favorite. Lately, the Park has closed many of the camp sites and has raised the prices of the sites that remain. It is loosing its family appeal because of this. The best kept secret to Yosemite is Wawona and it's wonderful hidden places. It quiet and peaceful and full of local history. The Pioneer Villiage is well built and in the summer has fully informed pioneers to bring the Villiage alive. There are real building that people have lived in there and it shows what life was like in the early 1860s.
