Cairo's fickle nouveau riche crowd have moved on to other establishments, but this Italian restaurant and pizzeria continues to offer delicious food to its regular clientele. The restaurant has both an indoor and outdoor section. The former has large cumbersome benches crammed along each wall, while the latter has more relaxed patio furniture and a cozy little alcove. Diners are spared the usual MTV, but must endure a continuous stream of recycled pop music. Fortunately, the volume is kept low. The pizzas (costing an average of EGP24) here are excellent and the famous tagliatelle are chock full of juicy mushrooms. The menu also offers international cuisine such as Beef Stroganoff and Veal Cordon Bleu. No alcohol is served.
